Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Thriven, a mobile application ("the App") developed and operated by Orivent Studios ("we", "us", "our"), a sole proprietorship based in Cape Town, South Africa. By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Use of the App

Thriven is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its backend services
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all goals, habits, notes, sessions, and other content you create within the App ("Your Content"). We do not claim any rights over Your Content. By enabling cloud backup, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store Your Content on Firebase Firestore solely for the purpose of providing the sync and restore service to you.

We do not read, sell, or share Your Content. You can delete Your Content and account data at any time by contacting us.

Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Thriven offers optional paid subscriptions (Plus, Pro) and a one-time Lifetime purchase. These are processed through Google Play. All billing, payment, and refund queries for purchases made through Google Play are governed by Google Play's Terms of Service.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Google Play account settings.

Purchasing a paid tier grants you access to premium features for the duration of your subscription. We reserve the right to change pricing or the features included in each tier at any time, with reasonable notice.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and all content created by Orivent Studios, is protected by intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited licence to use the App.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of any content in the App.

Thriven is a productivity tool and is not a substitute for medical, therapeutic, or psychological advice or treatment. If you have an ADHD diagnosis or mental health concerns, please consult a qualified professional.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Orivent Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including loss of data. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to the App and These Terms

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We may discontinue or modify features of the App at any time. We are not liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App or any part thereof.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
